Urquiola (ship)

The Urquiola was an oil tanker under the Spanish flag with a length of 276 m.

The ship ran aground on May 12, 1976 off A Coruña , Spain, on a shoal not shown on the maps . The ship caught fire. Much of the oil burned up. 50,000 tons of crude oil polluted the waters and the coast.
