Urs Dickerhof
Urs Dickerhof (born October 18, 1953 ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ) and entrepreneur .
Life
Urs Dickerhof completed an apprenticeship as a retail specialist. In 1988 he and his wife Brigitte Dickerhof opened the Dickerhof Beauty Center with massage , cosmetics and solarium and expanded the company over the following decades. In 1989 Urs Dickerhof became a masseur at FC Emmenbrücke and the junior national teams of the Swiss Football Association . In 1996 Dickerhof opened a massage school in Lugano and the first course at the cosmetics college was introduced in Emmenbrücke . In 1998 the beauty center was outsourced and the company concentrated on its core business with training in massage and cosmetics.
Dickerhof is a medical masseur with a federal certificate and marketing manager. Today he is chairman of the board of directors of Bildungszentrum Dickerhof AG and chairman of the board of directors of b2000 AG, a company that operates in the fields of management, communication and marketing. He is also a member of the board of directors at Physio Care Center de Leur in Einsiedeln . Dickerhof is on the board of the OdA MM (organization of the working world of medical masseurs) as well as the board of VMMS (Association of Medical Massage Schools in Switzerland).
He is an honorary member of the Emmen trade association, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the political committee of the Lucerne SME and Trade Association and President of the Higher Professional Education Interest Group (IG HBB). In 2016, he was OC President of the trade exhibition in Emmen.
Political career
Dickerhof was elected in 1998 as a representative of the SVP in the parliament of the municipality of Emmen. He was a member of the residents' council until 2003. In the same year he was elected to the Cantonal Council of Lucerne . In 2004 he also became a councilor for the municipality of Emmen. For 14 years he was Head of Finance and Human Resources.
In 2013 Dickerhof was elected President of the Cantonal Council, making him the “highest Lucerne”. He was also Commission President of the Health, Labor and Social Security Commission, the Planning and Finance Commission and the Supervisory and Control Commission of the Lucerne Cantonal Council. Today he is the parliamentary group president of SVP Canton Lucerne. He has also been President of the FC Cantonal Council since 2007.
Social Commitment
Since 1992 Dickerhof has been president of the Club 89 donors' association. From 1995 he was president of FC Emmenbrücke. Nine years later he was elected honorary president. Since 2005 he has been a member of the Advisory Board of FC Luzern and since 2009 President of the Central Switzerland Football Association. In 2015 he was elected President of IG Sport Luzern. He is also the OC President of the 100 Years of Amateur League Association. Since 2004 he has been on the board of the Friends of the SSBL, the Foundation for Severely Handicapped Lucerne.

Urs Dickerhof has the degree of captain in the Swiss Army . He was the commander of Street Police Company 44. Before that, he was the commander of the Panzer Battalion 8 headquarters.
