Urs Müller-Walz

Urs Müller-Walz (born January 3, 1950 in Basel ) is a Swiss politician ( BastA! ).

Political career

In 2001, Müller was elected to the Grand Council , the parliament of the canton of Basel-Stadt , where he took a seat on the business audit committee. From 2003 to 2005 he was President of the Green Alliance parliamentary group . Müller-Walz is President of the School Inspectorate at the Bäumlihof High School .

Personal

Müller-Walz is a trained grocery seller and social worker. From 1995 to 2001 he was the head of child welfare for the city of Basel. He is currently the President of the VPOD for the Basel region. Müller is married and has three children, one of whom is the politician Loretta Müller . His brother Rolf Müller-Fortunati ( SP ) is also politically active at the local level.

Müller-Walz has been wearing a striking red jacket for years, which has now become his trademark.
