Loretta Muller

Loretta Müller (born June 21, 1982 in Basel ) is a Swiss politician from BastA! .

Müller has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt since 2007 , where she sits on the Petitions Commission. In the same year she also ran for the National Council on the list of the Young Green Alliance, where she achieved first place. This young party stood for election in a sub-list association of the ( Green Party ). With 2%, this sub-list achieved a surprising success from the start, which led to the Greens winning one of the five Basel National Council mandates for the first time.

Life

Müller graduated from the Bäumlihof grammar school in 2001 and studied environmental science at the ETH Zurich . Today she is writing her doctoral thesis at the University of Bern . Mueller is also a talented footballer and plays with the FC Concordia Basel in the National League A .

Loretta Müller is the daughter of the Basel politician Urs Müller-Walz , with whom she is in parliament.
