Ursel Bäumer

Ursel Bäumer (* 1950 in Münster ) is a German writer .

Life

Ursel Bäumer studied literature and cultural studies in Münster and Bremen. She went on numerous trips, including a. to Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Today she lives and works as a freelance writer in Bremen. She is a member of the Association of German Writers .

Ursel Bäumer writes short stories, short prose and novels. In 2007 she received a residency grant for the female authors' forum in Berlin / Rheinsberg and in 2013 a residency grant at the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris .

Since May 2005 she has been the chairman of the “workshop literature” association and heads the “literature builds bridges” project. The association organizes literature workshops and readings by contemporary authors for the upper levels of schools in Bremen. The texts created in the workshops can be published on a website developed and maintained by students.
