Ursula Egner (* 1966 or 1967) is a German racing cyclist .

Life

Ursula Egner is visually impaired and practiced tandem racing as a competitive sport. She became a member of the German national team for handicapped people and won three gold and one silver medals at the 1995 European cycling championships in Altenstadt . Together with Elfriede Ranz as a pilot, she took part in several tandem races at the 1996 Paralympic Summer Games in Atlanta . In the final battle for the medal ranks , the German tandem finished second in the 1000 m time trial after Australia and ahead of Canada and thus won a silver medal. For this success, Ursula Egner and Elfriede Ranz were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by the Federal President. They also took part in the pursuit race and the 50/60 kilometer road race.
