Ursula Patzschke-Beutel (* 1913 or 1914 ; † after 1995) was a German television announcer . She was the world's first announcer of a television program on the Paul Nipkow television station .

Life

Patzschke initially trained as an actress. In 1935 she was employed as a "post office worker" at the Reichspost , as there was no post for announcers at that time.

At the start of the Paul Nipkow television broadcast on March 23, 1935, she greeted television viewers with the words: Attention, attention! TV station Paul Nipkow. We greet all national comrades in the television rooms of Greater Berlin with the German greeting “ Heil Hitler! It was broadcast three times a week for two hours. Patzschke was supposed to work as a film gluer during the breaks between broadcasting and when there was no speaking . In 1960 she reapplied as a television announcer.
