Ursula Ullrich

Ursula Ullrich (born April 8, 1932 in Dresden ) is a German writer .

Life

Ursula Ullrich was born in Dresden in 1932. Her first marriage was to the zoologist Wolfgang Ullrich , with whom she traveled to Africa and Asia . Together they published in 1962 In the jungle of the Indian rhinoceros and in 1965 Hati-Hati. On the back of an elephant through the Indian wilderness .

Ullrich wrote her first children's book as early as 1958, but also wrote travel reports, short stories, feature articles and worked for the press and television. She has been working exclusively as a writer since 1968 and has devoted herself mainly to children's books since 1980.

Ursula Ullrich lives and works with the painter Gottfried Sommer on the island of Rügen .
