Urszula Kielan
Urszula Kielan (born October 10, 1960 in Otwock ) is a former Polish high jumper .
She celebrated the greatest success of her career by winning the silver medal in the high jump at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. Due to the lower number of unsuccessful attempts, she placed with a jumped 1.94 m in front of the same height Jutta Kirst from the GDR. The winner Sara Simeoni from Italy jumped 1.97 m.
In addition, Kielan won four medals at European Indoor Athletics Championships : silver in 1979 and bronze in 1978, 1980 and 1981. She was five times Polish champion in high jump, twice outdoors (1978, 1980) and three times indoors (1978, 1979, 1981).
Urszula Kielan is married to her former coach Wojciech Lipiec and has three children. She is 1.76 m tall and had a competition weight of 57 kg.
