User bar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Userbars are small - sometimes also animated - graphics that are often found as a signature in Internet forums . In most cases, user bars show the hobbies and interests or the graphic skills of the user. There are standards that are set by different communities in order to ensure a uniform appearance as possible. Even so, there are some exceptions that use different sizes or fonts. Some user bars also support images that go beyond the normal width of 350 pixels .

Userbar properties

Userbars come in different formats, but they usually have a lot in common:

  • Semi-transparent stripes from bottom left to top right (45 °)
  • The 'Visitor TT2 (BRK)' font (white font with 12Pt (13px), black outline of 1px, no bold and no anti-aliasing)
  • PNG format for good quality, GIF for user bars with animations

In modern versions with black outlines and 3D appearance or without fixed font formats.
