Uta Albanese

Uta Albanese (* 13. January 1973 as Uta Deharde ) is a German dance sport coach and former professional dancer .

Life

She turned to dance in 1989 after having to give up roller skating and figure skating at competitive sports level due to an injury . First she was a member of the dance group of the Bremen theater for two years , then in 1991 she started dancing in tournaments. Together with her dance partner Roberto Albanese , she started for TSG Bremerhaven and won national and international titles in the Latin American dances (including 2nd place DTV ranking tournament S-Latin 1999 in Frankfurt, 1st place DTV ranking tournament S-Latin 2000 in Frankfurt, runner-up in the freestyle Latin 2002). Uta Albanese was a member of the German national team and with Roberto Albanese reached 1st place in the German overall ranking 1999/2000.

In autumn 2000, the couple announced that they wanted to end their career together, but then switched to professionals in 2001 and competed there until 2003.

Uta Albanese has been training the Latin B team of the Green Gold Club Bremen (GGC) since 1998 . With her as a trainer, the dance formation managed direct promotion from the regional league via the upper and regional leagues to the 2nd Bundesliga. A year later, they were promoted to the 1st Bundesliga, which the team finished in fifth place in the 2003/2004 season.

In addition to the GGC's Latin B team, Uta Albanese is also the trainer of the A team. In addition, she trains u. a. the Latin A team of the 1st TSZ Nienburg .

In 2006 Uta Albanese took part in the RTL dance show “ Let's Dance ”, in which she danced with the former decathlete Jürgen Hingsen . Both reached fifth place in the show.

Uta Albanese has been married to Roberto Albanese since April 2007, with whom she has a daughter. The couple runs a dance school in downtown Bremen .
