Roberto Albanese (born May 25, 1973 in Bremen ) is a German dance trainer and choreographer in the field of formation dance (Latin) and a former professional dancer .

Life

Albanese attended a dance school in 1991 and a short time later switched to the tournament classes of a club . Within two years he was promoted to the S-Class and started with his dance partner and later wife Uta Deharde for TSG Bremerhaven . With her he danced various national and international titles in the Latin American dances (including second place DTV ranking tournament S-Latin 1999 in Frankfurt, first place DTV ranking tournament S-Latin 2000 in Frankfurt, vice-champion free-style latin 2002). Roberto Albanese was a member of the German national team and, with Uta Deharde, reached first place in the German overall rankings in 1999/2000.

In autumn 2000 the couple announced that they wanted to end their careers together, but then switched to professionals in 2001 and competed there until 2003.

Roberto Albanese trains a. a. since 1994 the Latin A team of the then TSC Schwarz-Silber Bremen (the club merged with the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen (GGC) in early 2002 ). With the A-Team he made it into the regional league in the first year, and three years later the Latin A-Team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2002 he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga, where the formation immediately took fourth place. As a result, he won several German championship titles as well as European and world championships with the Latin formation.

In 2006 Roberto Albanese took part in the RTL dance show Let's Dance , in which he danced with the no-angels singer Sandy Mölling . The dancing couple dropped out in the penultimate show and thus reached third place. Albanese achieved the same result with actress Nina Bott in 2010.

Roberto Albanese is the cadre trainer of the state dance sport associations of Bremen and Lower Saxony. At the end of July 2013 he was appointed DTV association trainer, and in February 2017 also youth association trainer Latin. Albanese stepped down from both positions in May 2018. In March 2018 Albanese was named “Bremen Trainer of the Year 2017”. He has also been an honorary member of the Bremen State Dance Association since March 2014.

Roberto Albanese has been married to Uta Deharde since April 2007, with whom he has a daughter. The couple runs a dance school in Bremen with locations in the city center and in Hastedt .
