Mall of Fame is the unofficial name of a pedestrian zone in Bremen . It runs under the glass roof of the 250-meter-long Lloyd Passage in the center of the Hanseatic city.

Since 2003, the handprints of various celebrities who have a connection to the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen or who have rendered outstanding services to the city have been embedded in the granite floor . To do this, the honorees first put their hands in plaster of paris . These models then serve as a template for the production of a bronze plate weighing almost 50 kilograms , on which the engraved signature of the person concerned can be seen at the end. The idea as well as the name should be reminiscent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles . Proposals for persons to be honored can be submitted by the citizens with conclusive reasons.

The plates are manufactured by the Hepako Spezialguss GmbH foundry in Syke .
