Amelie Fried
Amelie Ilse Fried (born September 6, 1958 in Ulm ) is a German presenter and writer .
Life
Amelie Fried is the daughter of the publicist and publisher Kurt Fried and the bookseller Inge Fried-Ruthardt. After graduating from the Odenwald School in Heppenheim, Amelie Fried studied German , theater studies , journalism , art history , communication studies , ethnology and the Italian language in Munich from 1976 to 1983 . Without an academic degree, she then studied at the Munich University of Television and Film until 1989 , where she graduated with a diploma in documentary film and television journalism.
In 1984 Fried began to moderate programs on television, first on youth television of Bavarian Radio Live from Alabama , then live and Stern TV (on behalf of Günther Jauch ). In 1988 she received a Bambi for her moderation . From 1987 to 1989 she hosted the ZDF talk show live , initially with Trutz Beckert . From 1998 to 2009 she hosted the talk show 3 to 9 on Radio Bremen alongside Giovanni di Lorenzo . From July 2009 to December 2010, she hosted the ZDF together with Ijoma Mangold the literary program The Reader , a follow-up mission of reading!
Amelie Fried also works as a book and magazine author. Until the end of 2011 she wrote a column for the women's magazine Für Sie . After a book for adults about children, she made her literary debut as a novelist in 1996, dream woman with side effects .
Amelie Fried was repeatedly involved in questions of the culture of remembrance and coming to terms with the past . For example, she supported the revocation of the honorary citizenships of Hindenburg and Hitler in her place of residence in Dietramszell . In Munich she campaigns for the laying of stumbling blocks on public land. Her great uncle Max Fried and his wife Lilly were deported in 1943 and murdered in Auschwitz .
Amelie Fried has been the official godmother of the Bethel Children's Hospice since October 2010 . She is married to the screenwriter Peter Probst . Her two younger brothers are Nico Fried (actually: Nicolaus Florian Fried, publicist, currently SZ ) and Rainer Fried (musical director and producer).
