Trutz Beckert

Trutz Beckert (born October 25, 1944 in Marktbreit ; † June 21, 1988 in Bonn ) was a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

After completing his journalistic training, Beckert joined the Second German Television in 1966 , for which he worked for several years as a correspondent in Brussels . In August 1982 he became editor for the Today Journal ; In 1984 he took over the main editorial office for domestic affairs. He worked for several years as a moderator for the “5 to ten” panel discussion and started the live talk show in March 1987 with Amelie Fried and former Federal President Walter Scheel as co-moderators . After his sudden death in June 1988, he was replaced by Harry Valérien .
