Uta Grosenick

Uta Grosenick (born April 27, 1960 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German publisher and collector.

Life

Uta Grosenick studied art history, German and theater, film and television studies in Cologne and Paris. After a few assistants in the field of direction and dramaturgy at various theaters and theaters, she worked as an exhibition organizer at the Hamburg Deichtorhallen and the art and exhibition hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn. From 1993 to 1999 Grosenick was a curator at the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg .

Between 1999 and 2006 she worked for Taschen Verlag and also worked as a translator. In 2010 she founded together with Christian Boros the distance Verlag , which she headed until of 2019. Since September 2019 Grosenick has been the publisher of the re-established edition cantz , a traditional publisher for art books.

Grosenick collects contemporary art. She lives and works in Berlin and Potsdam.
