Ute, Schnute, Kasimir

Ute, Schnute, Kasimir were a commercial separator for WDR . The figures were invented by Wolf Gerlach , who also developed the Mainzelmännchen . The animation clips were produced by the NFP * from 1978 to 1989 . The animated films were broadcast regionally by Westdeutsches Werbefernsehen GmbH (WWF), today WDR mediagroup GmbH .

Towards the end of 1978, the three children Ute , Schnute , Kasimir and their dog Moppel replaced the cartoon character Professor Balthazar , who had previously been featured in regional evening programs since 1976 as a commercial separator.

Ute was spoken by Sandra Braun , Schnute by Stefanie Gerlach and Kasimir by Susanne Heck . In 1979 the three speakers were around twelve years old. 30 draftsmen, cameramen and sound engineers worked on the animated films, 200 of which were produced per month and about 60 per evening on commercial television. There were a total of 3500 episodes from one second to three minutes in length.

The cartoon characters experienced a revival when selected 30-second clips were broadcast on November 3rd and 4th, 2005 in the evening program. Previously, had fans, including Harald Schmidt in his ARD - show , wanted the re-broadcast of the bumpers.
