Ute Brenneisen (born April 27, 1962 in Heidelberg ) is a German lawyer . She is a judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Brenneisen studied law at the universities of Heidelberg and Mainz . After her two state exams, she joined the judicial service of the State of Thuringia in 1991 and was employed there at the Erfurt District Court and the Erfurt District Court . There she was appointed judge at the regional court in 1994. From the University of Jena in 1999, Brenneisen became a doctor of law with the family law document "The processing of compulsory portion claims according to the unification agreement". iur. PhD. From April to the end of 1996 and from October 1999 to September 2000 she was seconded to the Thuringian Higher Regional Court. Immediately afterwards she was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant from October 2000 to the end of 2004 . During this time she was promoted to judge at the Thuringian Higher Regional Court in October 2004 and from January 2005 worked in various civil senates. In August 2016, she was appointed chairman of a civil senate and at the beginning of 2017 also took over as chairman of a senate for notary matters.

On July 1, 2017, Brenneisen was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and assigned to the VII Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice, which is primarily responsible for contract law , architects' law and enforcement law .
