VII. Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice
The VII Civil Senate is a panel of the Federal Court of Justice . It is one of a total of thirteen senates currently dealing with civil matters.
He is mainly responsible for contract law , architects law and enforcement law.

Jurisdiction
According to the BGH's business distribution plan (as of 2015), the VII Civil Senate is responsible for legal disputes over:
- Contracts for work and services , unless VI. Civil Senate (No. 1 and 2) is responsible;
- Employment relationships of architects and other persons employed in buildings;
- Claims for damages from tortious acts based on the law on securing building claims of June 1, 1909 (RGBl. P. 449) and on the basis of the law on securing building claims in the version of the Securing Claims Act of October 23, 2008 ( Federal Law Gazette I, p. 2022 );
- the legal complaints and other legal remedies against complaint decisions and other decisions - with the exception of decisions in legal proceedings -
- on foreclosure in other than immovable property, unless the XII. Civil Senate (No. 4) is responsible,
- which concern the general foreclosure requirements, unless another civil senate is responsible;
- the contractual relationships of commercial agents (§§ 84 ff HGB) and franchise agreements;
- the legal disputes over claims for damages due to faulty reports.
