Senate for agricultural matters of the Federal Court of Justice

The Senate for Agricultural Matters is a special senate of the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe .

Jurisdiction

The competence of the Senate is determined by law for matters that are assigned to the Federal Court of Justice in the law on judicial proceedings in agricultural matters (LwVG), with the exception of the decisions pursuant to Section 7 (2) LwVG (removal of an honorary judge at the BGH) for which the jurisdiction of the 1st Civil Senate is established by law .

In contrast to the regular civil senates of the Federal Court of Justice, honorary judges also act as assessors in the Senate for agricultural matters.

The chairwoman of the Senate is Christina Stresemann (also chairwoman of the 5th Civil Senate ).

Professional judge assessors are (as of October 2, 2019) the judge Bettina Brückner and the judge Alfred Göbel , both of whom are also members of the V Civil Senate, their representatives are the judge Norbert Kazele and the judge Johanna Schmidt-Räntsch , both also from the V Civil Senate.

The voluntary assessors are all members of agricultural professions. Rukwied is a qualified farmer, farmer Obster, farmer Siebers, farmer Köhler, qualified agricultural engineer Beer, farmer Kees, qualified farmer Karle and farmer Stapelfeldt.
