Lists on the subject

The Uton vz. 75 (vz. = Vzor, Czech for pattern) is a surveyor made by Mikov . It was developed in 1973 and was used by the paratroopers of the Czechoslovak Army . It is currently used by the armed forces of the Czech Republic , the armed forces of the Slovak Republic and various police units in both countries.

History and conception

Historically, the Czechoslovak Army continued to use the dagger knife pattern 1917 and Soviet designs for a long time . The Czechoslovak army traditionally preferred to use its own designs rather than Soviet weapons. In the early 1970s, the Uton vz. 75 designed to which the army made high demands. Only selected parachute units were equipped with the knife.

The knife had a rubber handle made of Cuban rubber. Both a saw and a file can be used in the handle. The design was innovative at the time of its creation. The knife was originally made of Czech steel called ČSN 17029 using the Martfrost process. Since the collapse of the Czech steel industry, Böhlerstahl n540 (DIN W.Nr. 1.4034.) Has been used.

Both civil and military versions are available in stores. Only the military versions meet the military specifications and have a higher quality standard. The military versions of the knife have numbers that indicate the method of manufacture. The currently available knives of the military version have the number 0007 and no other lettering.
