Frieder Diestelhorst (born April 11, 1987 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German basketball player .

career

As a youth, Diestelhorst played basketball at SV Halle . In 2005, at the age of 18, he moved to Central German BC in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 2009 he won the championship title in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA with the MBC . After the promotion he was still in the MBC squad, but was not used in the Bundesliga, but reinforced Science City Jena  in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA thanks to a double play right .

In the 2010/11 season he was in the service of the second division s.Oliver Würzburg , followed by two years with BG Bitterfeld-Sandersdorf-Wolfen 06 ( 2nd Bundesliga ProB ). After a short return to his hometown and assignments for the USV Halle in the 2nd regional league, Diestelhorst went on the hunt for points for Bitterfeld-Sandersdorf-Wolfen from December 2013.

In the 2015/16 season the winger was again a top performer at the second regional league club Halle, in the 2016/17 season he strengthened the team of TSV Oberhaching-Deisenhofen in the first regional league.

Shortly before the turn of the year 2017/18, Diestelhorst was brought in by the Rostock Seawolves  , so he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB. In March 2018, he separated from the team for private reasons.

National team

In the summer of 2007 Diestelhorst reached the semi-finals of the B European Championship in Poland with the German U20 national team .
