Philip Kuschel (born February 9, 1998 in Forst (Lausitz) ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Lausitzer Füchsen since 2018 . It is also equipped with a support license for the Crocodiles Hamburg .

Career

Philip Kuschel began his career in the youth division of Eissport Weißwasser . Among other things, he was active in the school league for under 16-year-olds and the youth league for under 18-year-olds for the ESW. For the 2014/2015 season, Kuschel switched to the Eisbären Juniors Berlin, but continued to play for the youth of the Lausitzer Füchse in DNL2. In the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons, Kuschel played for the U19 team of Eisbären Juniors Berlin and reached the DNL playoffs with them. In the 2016/2017 season, Kuschel was given a funding license for FASS Berlin , where he only played one game.

For the 2017/18 season, the Lausitzer Füchse first expressed their interest in cuddles. However, an obligation did not materialize, so that Kuschel stayed with the Juniors and later received a production license for the team from Weißwasser. For the foxes he made his debut in the DEL2 on November 24, 2017 . Before the 2018/19 season, a contract was concluded with the Lausitzer Füchsen, and Kuschel was also given a license to support the Crocodiles Hamburg , where he was increasingly on the ice at the beginning of the season. After the licensed players of Eisbären Berlin left , Kuschel, Ustorf and Reichel were brought back to their home club in Weißwasser. On October 26, 2018, he was first set up as a defender by coach Corey Neilson .
