Joel Keussen (born August 2, 1991 in Duisburg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Lausitzer Füchsen from the DEL2 since November 2018 .

Career

The 1.90 m tall defender began his career at his home club, the Krefelder EV , where he got his first appearances in the Krefeld DNL team in the 2006/07 season . After a short interlude in Düsseldorf with the DEG Youngsters , the right-handed shooter was in the professional squad of the Krefeld Pinguine for the first time in the 2008/09 season . After two regular players, Sinan Akdağ and Benedikt Schopper, were canceled, he also made his first appearances in the German Ice Hockey League . In the next season he played with a license for the Herner EV in the league and came to three games for the penguins. In the summer of 2010 he switched to Moskitos Essen and received a production license from the Iserlohn Roosters . In January 2011 Keussen was signed by EC Red Bull Salzburg and used in the farm team from the national ice hockey league.

On September 1, 2011, after a successful try-out, he received a contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen from the 2nd Bundesliga until the end of the 2011/12 season .

In May 2012 he moved back to the upper league for Füchsen Duisburg .

In November 2018 he joined the Lausitzer Füchsen .
