The polar bears Juniors Berlin are an ice hockey - and speed skating club in Berlin . The Eisbären Juniors form the amateur and junior division of Eisbären Berlin in ice hockey and are considered economically independent. Nevertheless, the club is dependent on payments from Eisbären Berlin - mainly due to the relatively low number of spectators. The official name of the Eisbären Juniors Berlin eV association has been since 2000. The concept of the Eisbären Juniors is to introduce young and talented players to professional ice hockey. For this purpose, a farm team of the professional team based on the North American model was maintained until 2009 , which was able to rise to the third-class league in 2004 . In summer 2009, due to the changed structure of the German junior league DNL, the league team was withdrawn.

The speed skating department included Claudia Pechstein and Monique Angermüller .

In addition to ice hockey and speed skating, the Eisbären Juniors' floorball department has existed since December 2016 .

There they played until 2009 and could never reach the play-offs. Instead, the team often took part in the relegation round.

In addition, the club has seven different youth teams, including the running school, the Bambini, small school children, boys, school children, youth and junior departments. Some of the teams play in the youth leagues of the German Ice Hockey Association .

After the end of the 2008/09 season , the Eisbären Berlin announced that they would disband the junior league team and loan talented players to the second division club Dresdner Eislöwen or the regional division FASS Berlin as part of funding licenses . In 2017 the long-term cooperation with FASS Berlin was ended and a junior team was registered in the Berlin State League.
