The Utva 60 ( Serbian - Cyrillic Утва 60 ) is a liaison aircraft from the Yugoslav manufacturer Utva , which was manufactured for both military and civil purposes.

History and construction

Branislav Nikolić and Dragan Petković were responsible for the development. On April 22, 1959, the prototype, the Utva 56, equipped with a Lycoming GO 435 C2B2 piston engine of 260 hp, took off for its maiden flight. The flight tests were successful. For series production, the aircraft was equipped with a Lycoming O-480 engine and was named Utva 60. Its first flight took place in March 1962. The Utva 60 is an all-metal monoplane with a fixed tail wheel chassis and could also be equipped with floats or skis.
