Uwe Ackermann

Uwe Ackermann (born September 12, 1960 in Zwickau ) is a German athlete who - starting for the GDR - was successful in the 400-meter hurdles in the early 1980s . At the European Championships in 1982 he won the bronze medal in 48.64 s.

Uwe Ackermann belonged to the sports club SC Karl-Marx-Stadt and was East German champion in his discipline in 1982 , 1987 and 1988 . He set his best time of 48.50 s in 1982 . During his competition time he was 1.94 m tall and weighed 83 kg.
