Uwe Kolmey

Uwe Kolmey (* 1956 ) was President of the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office in Hanover until March 2018 .

Uwe Kolmey is the son of a police officer. In 1975 he began his service with the Lower Saxony police at the state police school in Hann. Münden and from 1978 worked among other things in the fight against espionage and terrorism at the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office. In 1988 he was approved for training for the higher police force at the Police Leadership Academy in Münster-Hiltrup . After various senior positions in Hildesheim and Salzgitter and in the police department of the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior, Sport and Integration , he was appointed Director of the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office on August 1, 2005 by the then Lower Saxony Minister of the Interior, Uwe Schünemann .
