Uwe Ladstädter

Uwe Ladstädter (born July 29, 1942 in Lienz ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

After training as a watchmaker and optician , he expanded his watchmaking business into a regional communication center in the 1980s.

Wall newspaper

Uwe Ladstädter works as a communication artist with the medium "wall newspaper" and in his theoretical texts alludes again and again to the wall newspaper culture of the Chinese cultural revolution, which in his opinion reached East Tyrol too late and can therefore only be perceived as corruption. The wall newspaper serves him as a medium of the province, in which the aesthetics of a homepage is counteracted with the method of the old showcase. Since 1988, the “Lienzer Wandzeitung” has been installed as a fictional information event on several display boards next to the shop in Lienz city center. In it, writers from the Lienz district publish. The magazine notice is changed weekly for current events and monthly for literary texts.
