Uwe Meiners

Uwe Meiners (* 1952 ) is a German folklorist . In 1980 he received his doctorate from the University of Münster . From 1996 to 2018 he was director of the museum village Cloppenburg - Lower Saxony open-air museum . He is the editor of numerous papers on folklore topics and co-editor of the Zeitschrift für Agrargeschichte und Agrarsoziologie (ZAA), a specialist journal in which historical and sociological contributions to research into agriculture are published. He has been the President of the Oldenburg Landscape since November 15, 2019 and was unanimously elected as such at the 81st Landscape Assembly.
