Uwe R. Brückner

Uwe R. Brückner (born February 8, 1957 in Hersbruck , Bavaria) is a German architect , scenographer and set designer .

Life

Brückner studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and then worked in the Sampo Widmann architectural office in Munich and in the Knut Lohrer studio in Stuttgart. From 1988 to 1992 he studied stage design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Jürgen Rose . In 1997 he founded the Atelier Brückner together with Shirin Frangoul- Brückner . Today they manage it together with the architects Prof. Eberhard Schlag and Britta Nagel. Brückner is a professor at the Basel School of Design and Art (FHNW) in the field of scenography .

Since 2015, together with Prof. Andreas Wenger, he has been leading the master's program "Master of Arts in Design - Master Studio Design - Studio Scenography and Exhibition Design". He is a founding member of the Institute for Interior Design and Scenography at the FHNW and is one of the initiators of the International Scenographers' Festival and the European Initiative Scenography (EIS). From 2012 to 2016 he accompanies the EU research project EMEE: EuroVision - Museums Exhibiting Europe.

Brückner has created over 100 exhibition and experience worlds for museums and brands.
