Uwe Schulte-Sasse

Uwe Schulte-Sasse (born October 27, 1946 in Wallenstädt ) is a German doctor.

After training as a surveying technician, Schulte-Sasse studied in Berlin at the state engineering academy for construction .

He initially worked as a surveyor for several years, but then began studying medicine at the Free University of Berlin. In 1978 he received his doctorate . He then completed his training as a specialist in anesthesiology at the Institute for Anaesthesiology of the Charlottenburg Clinic of the Free University of Berlin and was appointed senior physician in 1982. He also completed his habilitation there in 1986 in anesthesiology.

In 1987 Schulte-Sasse was appointed chief physician at the Heilbronn Municipal Hospital; In 1993 the Minister for Science and Research of the State of Baden-Württemberg appointed him an extraordinary professor .

Schulte-Sasse was director of the Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Operative Intensive Care Medicine in Heilbronn. He retired in October 2011.

He was secretary of the German Society for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine eV (DGAI) and has been the holder of the DGAI gold badge since 2009.
