Uwe Schulz (computer scientist)

Uwe Schulz (born May 29, 1952 in Zwickau ) is a German computer scientist and has been a professor for audiovisual media at the Stuttgart Media University since 1997 .

Life

Uwe Schulz studied aerospace engineering and computer science in Texas and Stuttgart . He specialized in numerical methods for solving coupled differential equation systems ( finite elements ) and methods of visualization .

From 1977 to 1979 he worked at the German Research and Research Institute for Aerospace in Cologne-Porz . From 1979 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Statics and Dynamics of Aerospace Structures in Stuttgart. In 1984 he became head of development at INTES engineering company for technical software in Stuttgart and in 1994 he was appointed professor at the Lippe University of Applied Sciences . Since 1997 he has been Professor of Audiovisual Media at the Media University.

From August 2001 to 2006 he was a member of the University Council of the Media University. Uwe Schulz is the contact person for the "E-Learning" competence center and was the head of the Audiovisual Media course at the Stuttgart Media University.
