Uwe Thrum

Uwe Thrum (born November 10, 1974 in Schleiz ) is a German politician ( AfD ) and member of the 7th Thuringian state parliament . There he works as a member of the state youth welfare committee.

Life

From 1981 to 1991 Thrum attended the Tanna Polytechnic High School . He then completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter until 1994 and did military service in Kümmersbruck in 1996 and 1997 . Until 2000 he trained as a master carpenter . He lives in Hirschberg , is married and has three children.

His political activity began in 2015, spokesman for the citizens' movement “We love Hirschberg”. He is a member of the friends' association for the public swimming pool in the city of Hirschberg and deputy chairman of the AfD district parliamentary group. He also acts as the first spokesman in the AfD regional association Saale-Orla . In the state election in Thuringia on October 27, 2019, he was elected to the Thuringian state parliament.
