Václav Kolaja

Václav Kolaja (born June 14, 1971 in Uherské Hradiště , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech diplomat.

Václav Kolaja studied history at Charles University in Prague from 1991 to 1996 . He has worked in diplomatic missions in London , Brussels and Washington , among others . At times he coordinated cyber security in the Prague Foreign Ministry. In 2016/17 he was Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic.

Since 2018 he has been Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Holy See (since September 6, 2018), the Sovereign Order of Malta (since October 10, 2018) and the Republic of San Marino (since September 21, 2018).

He is married and has two children. In addition to Czech, he also speaks English, German and Russian.
