Václav Koranda from Pilsen

Václav Koranda von Pilsen (German Wenzel Koranda von Pilsen ; Czech Václav Koranda z Plzně ; Latin Wenceslaus Coranda de Plzna ; * between 1422 and 1424 in Pilsen ; † between February 1 and 9, 1519 in Prague ) was a Hussite theologian and university Magister . In 1462/63 and 1470/71 as well as in 1513 he was rector of Charles University and from 1471 to 1497 administrator of the utraquist church.

Life

Václav / Wenzel Koranda studied at the Charles University , where he obtained the academic degree of baccalaureus in 1454 . After completing his master's degree , he taught at the university from 1458; In 1460 he held the office of dean and in 1462/63 and 1470/71 the office of rector.
