Várzea de Trevões is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of São João da Pesqueira . The community had 171 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Várzea de Trevões and São João da Pesqueira were merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de São João da Pesqueira e Várzea de Trevões .
