The Všešportový areál ( German  "Allsport-Areal / Komplex" , abbreviated VŠA) is a former sports complex on Moldavská cesta in Košice ( Slovakia ) and was mainly used for football, but also basketball or handball games.

history

The sports complex was built in the 1970s and the football stadium was opened on February 29, 1976 in a league game between Košice and Žilina and officially on March 10, 1976 with the friendly game Czechoslovakia - USSR (2-2). Several soccer fields and small basketball, handball and wrestling stadiums were also built in the complex.

A total of six matches of the Czechoslovak national team and four matches of the Slovak national team took place in the stadium. The last (big) competition game was played in June 1997. 1. FC Košice's matches in the 1997/98 UEFA Champions League took place at the Štadión Lokomotíva .

Today the stadium is in a very dilapidated condition and can no longer be used for sporting events. At the end of 2009, the official land use plan was changed. This means that the area of the former stadium can be built on.
