ViSdP - Magazin für Medienmacher was a media magazine that appeared as a PDF on Friday mornings until 2012 and was sent to around 27,000 subscribers by e-mail free of charge. The abbreviation in the title stood for responsible in terms of press law . The editor-in-chief of the magazine was the journalist Sebastian Esser , the publisher of the former Spiegel editor and former editor-in-chief of the magazine Max, Hajo Schumacher . A printed edition of ViSdP was published from autumn 2004 to autumn 2006 by the Berlin publisher Helios Media . The colorful layout of the magazine, developed by communication design professor Lo Breier, was striking. ViSdP was published ten times a year with a circulation of 7,000 issues. In September 2006 it was discontinued due to fewer advertisements. It then came out as a free weekly PDF magazine. In October 2009, Helios Media withdrew. Since then, the revamped PDF magazine has appeared independently of the publisher under the responsibility of the editor-in-chief Sebastian Esser, who was already the editor-in-chief of the print edition. The last edition appeared in 2012.
From 2005 to 2009, ViSdP awarded the Golden Prometheus journalist prize to the "Journalists of the Year" selected by a jury.
