Golden Prometheus (journalist award)

The Golden Prometheus was a German journalism award from Helios Verlag, which was first awarded in Berlin on January 26, 2006 after the media magazine ViSdP was no longer published. The non-endowed prize was awarded for the last time in 2009. ViSdP publisher Hajo Schumacher cited financing problems as the reason . Burkhard Piller designed the award sculpture.

The jury

The jury was composed of former editors-in-chief such as Hans Mahr , Beate Wedekind and Manfred Bissinger .

Prize winner 2006

The award ceremony took place on the evening of January 26, 2006 as part of a media gala in the Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin. The guest of honor was Federal Minister of the Interior Wolfgang Schäuble . The award ceremony was moderated by Jörg Thadeusz , who also received the award himself.
