Christoph Amend

Christoph Amend (born February 9, 1974 in Giessen ) is a German journalist .

He grew up in Langgöns and graduated from high school in Butzbach in 1990 . He studied English and political science at the University of Giessen .

Amend first became editor in 1996, then deputy editor-in-chief at now , the youth magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung . In 1999 he moved to Berlin to work as an editor for special tasks at the Tagesspiegel ; from 2001 he was responsible for its Sunday supplement. Amend has been with the time since 2004 ; initially as head of the “Life” department, since 2007 he has been the editor of ZEITmagazin .

Since 2018, Christoph Amend, together with Jochen Wegner , has hosted the “potentially infinite” podcast Everything said? .

From conversations with Iris Berben , he wrote her memoirs (“One year - one life”). He is the brother of Lars Amend .
