VE Kombinat House and Kitchen Appliances Schwarzenberg
The VE Kombinat Haus- und Küchengeräte Schwarzenberg was a company in the GDR in the legal form of a VEB (district management) based in Schwarzenberg / Erzgeb. , which existed from 1981 to 1990.
The nationally owned (VE) Kombinat was a combination of former small and medium-sized enterprises, mostly nationalized in 1972, and was founded in May 1981 in Schwarzenberg on Straße der Einheit and Raschauer Weg. Gerhard Hopf acted as director of the combine from 1981 to 1990.
VE Kombinat was wound up in 1990 by the Treuhandanstalt and most of the Kombinat operations were privatized.
The superordinate body was the Council of the District of Karl-Marx-Stadt (Economic Council of the District of Karl-Marx-Stadt : Heinz Findewirth ), the responsible ministry was the Ministry for District Industry and Food Industry under the Minister Udo-Dieter Wange (spun off from the MVI des District Economic Council 1981).
The company had 3,600 full-time employees. The combine companies produced high-quality household and kitchen appliances, also mainly for export to the non-socialist economic area .
