VGE publishing house

The VGE Verlag , formerly Verlag Glückauf , was a specialist publisher for literature in the field of mining , tunneling , raw materials and energy based in Essen . It was founded in 1918. The partner was the Association for Mining Interests in the Dortmund Upper Mining District . The program included the yearbook of the European energy and raw materials industry, founded in 1883, and the magazine Glückauf - Berg- und Hüttenmännische Zeitschrift , founded in 1865. The publisher had annual sales of 3 million euros and employed 14 people.

The publishing house ceased operations in 2017 and some of the books were taken over by EW Medien in VDE-Verlag .
