VIS Entertainment PLC is a former Scottish game developer . The company was founded in 1996 by Chris van der Kuyl and Peter Baillie as VIS Interactive PLC . The company was renamed in 2000.

In addition to computer games, the company also created content for iTV . VIS Entertainment PLC 'consisted of VIS Games as well as Axis Animation and VIS iTV . In 1999, the Stainless Software development team was integrated into the company.

The company had 200 employees in two locations, the main location in Dundee and a branch in the Isle of Wight . In 2001 the development studio on the Isle of Wight was outsourced as Stainless Games .

The company worked closely with BAM! Entertainment together and took over its London studio in May 2004, which was later closed. VIS filed for bankruptcy on April 7, 2005 . Later that month, all development work was canceled and sold to other companies.
