Řád národa (Czech. "National Order" or "Order of the People") is a political party in the Czech Republic . Until January 2014 it was called LIDEM - liberální democé (LIDEM - Liberal Democrats), until May 2015 it was called VIZE 2014 (Vision 2014).

history

The party came into being in the spring of 2012 after internal disputes within the Věci veřejné party , which at the time belonged to the coalition government of Petr Nečas and had decided to resign from the government of Petr Nečas after an internal coalition dispute . However, some MPs around Vice Prime Minister Karolína Peake and all members of the government who belong to the party did not want to follow this step. They left the Věci veřejné and founded their own political platform. This was officially registered under the name LIDEM on May 29, 2012. At the founding party congress in Brno on November 3, 2012, Peake was officially elected party chairman with 68 out of 70 votes. The party had around 100 members at the time.

The party was therefore involved with three members in the government and secured a majority in Neča's government in parliament even after the Věci veřejné left the coalition.

After party leader Peake was dismissed from the office of defense minister on December 20, 2012 after only eight days at the instigation of Prime Minister Nečas, the party leadership called on its remaining ministers to resign on January 10, 2013. This request was revoked on January 8, 2013 and talks about a new coalition agreement were announced instead. The coalition initially continued to work.

After Petr Nečas resigned from the post of head of government and the Jiří Rusnok government swore in, LIDEM left the government. On August 8, 2013, Karolína Peake resigned from the party chairmanship after not voting against the government but not taking part in the vote, contrary to the party line in the confidence vote on the Jiří Rusnok government the day before. The deputy party leader Dagmar Navrátilová then took over the party leadership provisionally. In November 2013, Navrátilová was finally elected party leader of the LIDEM.

In the elections for the House of Representatives in October 2013 , LIDEM did not take part with its own list, but was placed as an act of "symbolic support" with some candidates on the less promising list places of the Strana soukromníků České republiky .

At the party congress on January 15, 2014, Dagmar Navrátilová was replaced by Aleš Hemer as party leader. Navrátilová was elected the party's first vice-chairman. The LIDEM was renamed “VIZE 2014” (Vision 2014) at the party congress.

Karolína Peake has since left the party.

At the European elections in the Czech Republic in 2014 took part VICE 2014, but received only 3,698 votes (0.24%).

Since May 2015 the party has been operating under its current name "Řád národa". Josef Zickler also replaced Aleš Hemer as party chairman.
