UAB Maxima LT (formerly VP Market ) is the largest Lithuanian retail company and the largest (by number of employees) organization in Lithuania. The company is part of the UAB " Maxima grupė " group of companies. This belongs to the holding " Vilniaus prekyba ". In Lithuania, Maxima LT is the market leader with a market share of over a third. Major competitors are IKI , RIMI and " Norfa ", smaller competitors Lidl and " CBA Aibė ".

The forerunner of "Maxima LT" was founded in 1992 by three medical students with the support of other family members. The retail chain was managed by "VP Market". The group of companies is still managed by the founders today. "Maxima LT" operates 230 shopping centers in Lithuania under the name "Maxima", formerly also under the brands "Maxima X", "Maxima XX", "Maxima XXX", "Saulutė".
In 2013 the company achieved total sales of 1.42 billion euros.
