Abbott Payson Usher
Abbott Payson Usher (* 1883 ; † 1965 ) was an American historian and economist who made a particular contribution to the history of technology .
In 1933, Usher was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences . In 1963 he was awarded the Leonardo da Vinci Medal , a prestigious prize for the history of technology from the Society for the History of Technology (SHOT) founded by Melvin Kranzberg .
