VP dešimtukas ( Vilniaus prekybos dešimtukas , dt. 'Ten of Vilnius Trade') was a group of entrepreneurs in Vilnius , Lithuania . The leader was Nerijus Numavičius (* 1967). The group founded the largest Lithuanian concern " Vilniaus prekyba ".

history

The beginnings of “VP dešimtukas” date back to the Soviet era, when an active group of students gathered at the Faculty of Medicine at Vilnius University . The clique was made up of Nerijus Numavičius, Ignas Staškevičius (* 1970), brothers Žilvinas Marcinkevičius (* 1967) and Gintaras Marcinkevičius (* 1969). Later came the brothers of Nerijus Julius Numavičius (* 1973) and Vladas Numavičius (* 1974), Marcinkevičius brother Mindaugas Marcinkevičius (* 1971), who invited the former classmate Mindaugas Bagdonavičius (* 1970). Then came Renatas Vaitkevičius (* 1962), who built up the "VP Market" business (UAB Maxima LT - "Father").

After Lithuania's independence from the Soviet Union , it was legal to develop private businesses. Those were the days of privatization . The nine young entrepreneurs invested in real estate , construction and securities . They started trading in the apartments. Then they bought up the so-called "investment checks", which were then necessary for the privatization in Lithuania. They participated in the auctions and bought various objects. They participated in the privatization and acquired business premises, primarily in order to be able to sell them as real estate for a profit. In 1992 they bought the liquor store (in Savanorių prospectus ) and wanted to sell the space as real estate. But that doesn't work. The shop stayed with the entrepreneurs for a long time. They started to act. The name "Vilniaus prekyba" was created in 1994 when the 7 stores in Vilnius were merged after the reorganization. This created a retail chain that later became "VP Market" (now "Maxima LT").

The company was registered on March 5th and was not formalized as a holding company until December 2004 after the reorganization of the managed businesses (companies).

The nine founding members owned the group. In 2006 this group was joined by the financier and bank manager Darius Nedzinskas (* 1973). The group of entrepreneurs has since been called "VP dešimtukas". The group acquired " Vakarų skirstomieji tinklai ".

In 2007 the group decided to build the nuclear power plant. Conservators' government decided to reorganize and liquidate " Leo LT ". “ NDX energija ” received compensation of 680 million litas (200 million euros) for the exit and sale of AB VST . Project "Leo LT" was a mistake of the entrepreneurs. There were disputes in the group over the project. On August 4, 2008, Group Vice President Žilvinas Marcinkevičius, the initiator of the development of LEO LT, resigned from the post and emigrated from Lithuania. In 2009 the entrepreneur group suffered the crisis. Darius Nedzinskas and Renatas Vaitkevičius (with the sale of his shares and withdrawal from the board in May 2011) left. Julius Numavičius emigrated to the USA. He invested in stores and pharmacies in Florida , Texas, and South Carolina . At this time, Julius Numavičius demanded 30 million litas (approx. 9 million euros) from his brother Nerijus and challenged the donation agreements for the shares in court.

2013 shareholders of the group were 7 people: Nerijus Numavičius , Žilvinas Marcinkevičius , Mindaugas Marcinkevičius , Ignas Staškevičius , Gintaras Marcinkevičius , Mindaugas Bagdonavičius and Vladas Numavičius .
