The bank is a registered cooperative. Section 1 of the Cooperative Society Act describes the promotion of members.
The company operates as a universal bank. In addition to private and corporate customer business, asset management has also been part of this since 2010. With several certified financial and estate planners, VR-Bank Mitte eG is one of the first cooperative banks of this size to operate this business area with its own department.
The real estate brokerage and the real estate financing business as well as the brokerage of rental properties are bundled by VR-Bank Mitte eG in its own competence center, VR-ImmobilienWelt. This appears on the outside with its own logo. Property management is also part of the range of services. To this end, we cooperate with external providers.
As a credit union, VR-Bank Mitte eG is integrated into the cooperative financial network with partners such as u. a. the Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, the R + V-Versicherung or the Union Investment.
history
In 2000, the VR-Bank Werra-Meißner eG, based in Eschwege, was created through the merger of Volksbank Hessisch Lichtenau, Raiffeisenbank Witzenhausen and Raiffeisenbank Eschwege-Hessisch Lichtenau-Wehretal. In 2019, VR-Bank Werra-Meißner eG merged with Volksbank Mitte eG based in Duderstadt to form VR-Bank Mitte eG. The legal seat was Duderstadt.
