The VSpeed V77 is a sports car that was manufactured by VSpeed automotive GmbH in the Saxon city of Radeberg . The first finished prototype was presented at the end of July 2014, and production of the vehicle began in the same year.

The VSpeed V77 is technically based on the Corvette C6 from the US car manufacturer General Motors . In order to optimize weight, the body is largely made of plastic reinforced with carbon fibers . The design is based on the sports cars of the 1960s. The V77 is powered by a V8 engine with 6162 cm³ displacement, the output of which has been increased by 30 kW to 351 kW (477 hp) compared to the base vehicle .
The first production series was limited to 12 vehicles. According to the company, five copies of the VSpeed V77 had been sold by mid-2015 .
Companies
VSpeed automotive was founded in 2014 by the architect Bernd Nömer after a three-year planning period. Sepp Melkus, grandson of the racing driver and racing car designer Heinz Melkus , acted as the company's advisor . The VSpeed V77 was the first model made in the factory. In July 2015, the company presented the draft of a second model, the VSpeed V88 based on the Corvette C6 Z06 . In November 2018 the company was deleted from the commercial register.
